David Copeland (he/him/his) is from Cincinnati, OH. The founder of Live Without Regrets doula services, he is a part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and has been serving the sick and dying for many years. He lives out loud so that other queer bodies especially Black and Brown, can live and move in freedom.

David is INELDA-trained end-of-life doula and certified through the International Association of Professions Career College and is a licensed missionary reverend in the Love Church. He is honored to serve the greater Cincinnati area as a board member of the TreeHouse Cincinnati, tabling at events and being in community with his made family. David is a writer and member of The Rapha Center, a Black-affirming LGBTQIA+ organization based in Miami, Florida.  He has served at Hospice of Cincinnati, and Compassus Hospice, and volunteered in Madison nursing homes, hospitals, and other hospices. He is a board member and chair of fundraising for the International End of Life Death Doula Association (INELDA) and is steadfast in the fight to ensure equity at the end of life.

His work as a doula is to serve the LGBTQIA2S+, elderly, terminally ill, dying, and their loved ones with dignity, grace, and love. He does this through creating a tailored end-of-life plan, respite care, vigil and legacy projects, bereavement, and post-death consultations. It is an honor and a privilege for him to be allowed into one of the most intimate and sacred parts of life. As a death doula, he is committed to his clients and their families with trust and integrity as core values of advocacy.

Gabby Jimenz

Gabrielle Jimenez, “Gabby,” is a hospice nurse, end-of-life doula, death and dying educator, author, and blogger. Her goal is to help improve the way people are cared for when they are dying, and when they are grieving, by educating, supporting, and inspiring others to do this work from a compassionate, heart-centered place. Everything she puts out into this world via social media, her classes, and her speaking events, are always honest, informative, educational, and filled with compassion.

She created a Facebook community in August of 2019, which has now grown to almost 148,000 followers. Her intention was to create a safe place for people to talk about death, dying, and grief and while that has happened, it has also offered her a platform to share her end-of-life tips and tools that help comfort and support someone who is dying, anyone who is providing this care, and for those preparing to say goodbye, and navigating their grief journey.

This is sacred, beautiful work, and should always be met with kindness and compassion.
