NYC LGBTQIA & Trans Death/End of Life Death Literacy Program

This is a four week, four module class that will walk you through the most important aspects for end of life and death care planning for the queer community. You will learn how planning for LGBTQIA & Trans folx differs from planning for those of our cis peers, how to compassionately hold space and open our hearts, how different family dynamics may look, case studies, paperwork, legalities, legacy work, and more.

This class will take place in April. Dates and time TBA.

Overview

Planning for end of life is essential for getting the care we need and want and having our wishes fulfilled if death should occur. Death will occur for us all someday, and it’s better to be prepared than to leave our loved ones scrambling, trying to figure out what we would want while processing deep grief from loss. What if we could make this easier on our loved ones by having it all in writing, ready to go when the time comes? This is Death Literacy. For those in the LQBTQIA and Trans community, it is ESSENTIAL that the planning take place as early as possible. Why is this even more important than our Cis identifying peers? Learn all about it in my class for LGBTQIA & Trans Death/End of Life Death Literacy Program.
